*I am 61 Years Old
*I am Married to the same man for 43 years . . . and yes, it hasn’t been easy at times but our commitment makes it work. I think commitment is the reason we are still together, as we each have imperfections that make marriage a trial sometimes.
Husband for over 43 years
*We have 4 adult children and 15 grandchildren.
*I am the oldest of 6 children. I helped raise my siblings so I am very close to them.
Life Coach
*I have always been able to listen and give sound advice to people without knowing I was advising them. As a result, I’ve helped a lot of people through the years.
*My son said something to me one time that really helped me accept this calling in life. I had been questioning my ability to be a Life Caoch, and I also had a hard time accepting that I’ve helped people; I didn’t feel special in that way.
He said, “Mom, I don’t know why you are so surprised. How many times have I come to you for advice, and other members of the family too? You’ve always been the one people go to when they have a problem. Why shouldn’t you help other people now? Just accept it and don’t question the wisdom in it.”
I was so pleased that my son had the ability to talk straight with me…of course, I raised him to be that way.
*I’ve also had the privilege of working for two years at a mental health center in California. These experiences, along with having mental health issues in my own family, and being the oldest of six children, means that I am familiar with many of the problems families face.
Business Coach
*I’ve been a business owner throughout the years, trying out various business ideas.
I had to give up on some ventures because I was under-funded. I tried another business but it was not feasible because my office space was sold out from underneath me.
-My partner had sold-off all the furniture as well as the office space I would be using. All I would have had was a phone line and a small corner in a messy and disorganized office that I would have to share with my partner.
-I had already interviewed and hired my consultants, I had the ciriculum in place that I planned to use, and the radio advertisement was ready to go when my partner did this to me.
-I refused to do business under those conditions. I think my partner was afraid I would do better than him and that made him jealous.
*I’ve been in Network Marketing since 1977.
*I was trained by the best.
*I sat at a table with the most successful people in the field and talked to them one-on-one.
*I’ve sat in a room at the Double Tree Hotel with a couple who had a huge business (they did well over $200,000 in business each month) and five other couples for personal counselling.
*I sat next to this man on a sofa and asked him a lot of questions. It was at a beach party in Oregon that they held for our group because we were moving aggressively in the business. I asked the type of questions only a seasoned networker would ask such a man, and he answered me as if I was an equal.
*I’ve read all the books, listened to all the video tapes, and watched all the CD training.
*I’ve been to all the meetings and conventions.
*I’ve probably trained, sponsored, and approached more people than most of you in your Network Marketing businesses right now.
*I’ve likely made all the mistakes there are to make, I’ve failed more times than most of you can count, and I’ve succeeded too; and oh, it is such a satisfying feeling when you know your work has helped others reach their own goals.
*I know what works in Network Marketing and what does not … that’s because I’ve done it all. I know an approach coming before the person gets it out of his or her mouth! Of course, I know what they are going to say because I’ve already learned it and used the same approach myself (in it’s variations) many times before.
I know what ticks-off people because I’ve been on the other side of an approach and so I know what’s coming – meaning that I am ready for a lame approach.
A good approach is an honest one. It needs to come from inside a sincere heart, where you have REALLY listened to the person and you talk to them with a genuine interest, without an agenda of your own.
*I can tell you if the Network Marketing business you are currently doing or wanting to do is a scam/illegal pyramid as soon as I see the marketing plan. In late 70’s, the company I was with was investigated by the Federal Trade Commission for possibly being a pyramid. I learned what constitutes a pyramid at that time; by the way, that company was cleared after an extensive FTC investigation.
*I’ve pursued my dreams, even with companies that went nowhere. So yes, I do know about disappointment.
*I know about struggling in the field of Network Marketing, and also about picking myself up and starting over again.
*I know about the fear of failing again and how diabilitating that can be…but I also know how to break the chains of fear.

I am a published author of the “Treasure Box Series, Volume I: Peace, Joy, and Happiness” and also “The Special Edition: Sex, What About It?”
I pursued this project even when my entire family was against me doing it. They felt I couldn’t do it and would fail. One of the children even had the nerve to tell me that I wasn’t smart enough to write a book.
My close friends teased me and asked if I ever published that silly book I was working on. But you should hear them now:
-My daughter told me she is very proud of me for writing the book and getting it published when I had so much adversity around me. You will have to see my video on this story.
-My sister-in-law told me she is happy to see me complete the book after I had so much to overcome.
-BUT BEST OF ALL, I’ve had many people tell me that the book helped them. Now that is worth more than anything else I could have gleaned from writing the books.
-I had my sanity questioned by family because I would not give up writing and publishing the book. I was told that I was selfish and self-centered, even though I was in my late fifties and the children were already raised. I put down writing in the 1980’s to raise the children, now I felt it was my turn to do what was important to me.
So, as you can see, I’ve been through many types of adversity and have seen many of the trials that people go through. However, let me give you some important advice here: When you start to excel and create momentum in your business or you make huge changes in your life, a draft is created (like wind that comes from something moving quickly). That leaves a vaccum that sometimes fills up with challenges in life. Just about every single person I know who has excelled in business or life has experienced this phenominum; you may also. Knowing this universal law makes the trial somewhat easier to bear.
